A Missouri state court in Clay County, Missouri, entered a $3,500,000 judgment for one of Jared’s clients, who had been the passenger in a vehicle that was hit head-on by a drunk driver on Interstate 435. The drunk driver had been driving 85 miles per hour going the wrong way on the interstate. The crash was covered by local TV Stations. A copy of the petition in this lawsuit can be found here.
It took emergency crews almost an hour and a half to extricate the accident victim from her vehicle using the Jaws of Life. She almost died at the scene due to blood loss from internal injuries and broken bones in both of her arms and both of her legs. She endured five surgeries, and months of rehabilitation in order to walk again. The surgeries left permanent scars on her arms and legs. Throughout her ordeal, Jared’s client has exhibited an enormous amount of courage and perseverance as she tries to put her life back together.
