Jared represented a pedestrian who was hit by a drunk driver. The pedestrian had been walking across a crosswalk on Wornall Road in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. She suffered broken bones in both legs. In order to walk again, she had to undergo months of rehabilitation. After the case was filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, the parties settled the case for the maximum amount available under the defendant’s car insurance policy limits.
