When police arrived at the scene, one of the drivers who stopped at the scene initially denied hitting the pedestrian. She admitted she heard a loud noise that caused her to turn her car around and return to the scene but she denied hitting the pedestrian. When Jared’s office obtained body cam footage from the police, the body cam video showed that a plastic rivet at the scene matched a missing rivet on that driver’s wheel. The law firm argued that it was more likely than not that this vehicle had struck the pedestrian and the driver’s car insurance company agreed to pay the $100,000 bodily injury policy limits to the pedestrian.
The Law Office of Jared Rose secured a $25,000 policy limits settlement for a client who was rear-ended on Highway 71. The at-fault driver did not have any car insurance. Both Kansas and Missouri require drivers to have car insurance. But not everyone buys car insurance. So both Kansas and Missouri also require every car insurance policy to have at least $25,000 of uninsured motorist coverage to cover damages caused by uninsured drivers. The investor had placed his trust in Ameriprise and one of its brokers, and the arbitration panel found that Ameriprise had breached its fiduciary duties to the investor by selling him variable annuities and non-publicly traded REITs that generated large fees and commissions for Ameriprise and its broker but did not serve the investor’s best interests.

Jared’s client suffered a moderate interstitial tear of the anterior supraspinatus tendon in her left shoulder. The insurance company representing the other driver agreed to settle the case before a lawsuit was filed.

After filing a FINRA statement of claim against a brokerage firm for failing to supervise one of its brokers, during mediation, The Law Office of Jared A. Rose was able to secure a confidential settlement on behalf of a client who had been sold a promissory note. The promissory note was supposed to help Brenda Wood buy the New York Life building at 920 Main Street in Kansas City, but she was not able to secure enough financing to buy the building, the deal fell through, she filed for bankruptcy, and never made any payments on the note. Jared was able to argue that although the broker had said the promissory note was a sure thing, it was actually risky and should never have been recommended by the broker. Jared argued that the brokerage firm should have been doing a better job of supervising its broker.
The Law Office of Jared A. Rose represented the driver of a car that was hit head-on by a drunk driver who was driving 85 miles per hour going the wrong way on I-435.
Luckily, thanks to a trucker who stopped and put out a fire that could have engulfed the car, and to emergency personnel that arrived with the jaws of life, the driver escaped with a torn PCL and abrasions. The drunk driver’s insurance company, State Farm, settled with Jared’s client for the insurance policy’s $100,000 policy limit.
The Law Office of Jared A. Rose and The Law Offices of Stephen R. Bough represented a 54-year old widow whose husband had died in a rural car crash with no surviving witnesses. Investigation revealed that he was probably trying to avoid an approaching car that had crossed the center line at the top of a hill. The widow’s insurance company, Liberty Mutual had issued an uninsured motorist policy that required a hit-and-run claim to prove actual physical contact despite a state law saying that coverage exists regardless of whether physical contact is made.
The claim was settled for the uninsured motorist insurance policy limits of $100,000, consisting of two equal stacked payments of $50,000 for each car listed on the policy. The settlement was report in Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
