Jared’s law firm resolved a case on behalf of a pedestrian hit by a car while walking on the side of the road in DeSoto, Kansas. The collision broke the pedestrian’s leg, which led to surgery and extensive rehabilitation. When police arrived at the scene, one of the drivers who stopped at the scene initially denied hitting the pedestrian. She admitted she heard a loud noise that caused her to turn her car around and return to the scene but she denied hitting the pedestrian. When Jared’s office obtained body cam footage from the police, the body cam video showed that a plastic rivet at the scene matched a missing rivet on that driver’s wheel. The law firm argued that it was more likely than not that this vehicle had struck the pedestrian and the driver’s car insurance company agreed to pay the $100,000 bodily injury policy limits to the pedestrian.
